Two godlike sponsors (that utilize YouTubers as a marketing strategy) off the top of my head are Hoyoverse games (Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero) and Fortnite. Whether any given person likes or dislikes these games, nobody can deny the fact that they are actively forming the foundation of millions of pre-teen's/teen's childhoods
The real reason why more YT sponsors are of average/below average quality than of above average quality is because of 2 reasons.
1. Relatively few companies recognize the power in marketing to influencer audiences. Take Raid: Shadow Legends as a perfect example. I'm a mobile gamer, I am decently familiar with what's popping and what's flopping, so, as an example of how YT sponsors can raise a game up, Raid would not have popped off like it has if it did not sponsor YouTubers
2. Many of the larger companies (Nintendo, Microsoft, Herman Miller) find marketing through influencers to be too risky for the identity of the brand
