As someone who likes the Virgin Suicides (I think it's Coppola's best work) and has seen it more than once (the first time bits and pieces on TV, then rented on VHS, then in a film class) I don't think saying you liked it or that it was your favorite was that bad, but saying you watch it EVERY YEAR seems kind of unhinged and like maybe you want to wear her skin as a coat.
