The story mode in this game is just so awful, Dunkey barely even exaggerated. It literally skips humongous stretches of the story. The fighting is fun-ish, tons of characters, but damn I'm so disappointed in the story mode.

i can’t believe we got this instead of xenoverse 3 this game sucks ass. the story may be total ass in xenoverse but it at least tells the full story and adds its own twists to it. not only that but a character creator and an in depth move list to customize your moveset

I don't necessarily mind the story skips, but I'm not a big fan of the whole "play one character's story" approach. It's nicer, I think, when you get to play and swap characters as is appropriate, otherwise the narrative becomes really bizarre (such as Vegeta having, like, two missions on Namek).
