I'm surprised they simply don't recover the corpse to repair it back to operational capacity. A mehanichus like him must be more machine than flesh,, so by all means they should be repairable even after "death", else what's the point of "the strength and certainty of steel"? Hell i'm surprised he's not still alive on that pike due to all the cybernetics.
