Really appreciate all your patience and likes throughout this series so far. Been my favorite game in years and I wanted to fully explore it as much as possible. My goal was to upload this every day but I had issues with my videos not processing to 4K so I was waiting a day between parts for it finish before posting. Much love fam

When I was watching the animated portion and saw the person with the wheeled feet and flames, I was immediately reminded of the 2019 film Ne zha but I didn't know it was a one-to-one connection till the narrator actually said the name... I know it's stupid but most of Chinese mythology i know comes from shows and movies but sometimes I am not 100% sure of what is shown is true actual mythology or not... Am only just now finding out that Ne Zha is a real Chinese deity😭, and I think it's so cool that we can learn things in this way😎! Fucking awesome! Media is also how I know about the monkey king, golden Caida, the heavenly courts, etc all ofc being depicted here in the game. So cool seeing elements from what you know being adapted! Makes me think of how much mythology in the game have I missed or haven't heard of. Like now I just wanna rewatch, replay, and research these creatures, beasts, gods, deities, objects, etc that are a part of this game to learn their full mythologies!
Edit: Btw you guys should TOTALLY get into the films from Beijing Enlight Pictures and Light Chaser Animation studios if you want some good high-quality action-packed beginner Donghua movies!😁 After even more research am DEFINITELY reading Journey to the West! Man this game fucking slaps so hard that I LITERALLY need more! Please if you guys have any recs let a brutha know🥺

Hi Brad, there's an additional talisman near The Fallen Loong shrine. You need to gather all 3 Talismans before you can proceed to the final section at the Court of Illumination.

@theRadBrad you missed the whole fight with the Scorpion Lord. Supposed to fight him first and get the deathsting to craft a new weapon and then go fight the Duskveil. Could always do over by doing NG+. Highly recommend doing this way next time. Good stuff though brad. Keep it up!

For chapter 4,5. If go straight to the final boss, you will miss the secret area （if triggered the cut scene,lose the boss fight and try exploring the secret area first )
If miss secret area in chapter 3,
hence won’t be able to get the true ending for the current playthrough. Have to come back in NG+. In order to max out all relics. Will need at least NG+++ otherwise you can graduate technically after the 3rd playthrough.
For those only wants one playthrough, once defeated the final boss, instead of starting a NG+, you can go back and finish the secret areas have missed and re- fight the final boss to get the true ending on the same playthrough.
Also for phase2 if you bring the boss to about 2% HP left and wait for about 2 mins, there’s an extra dialogue and a few extra seconds of the cutscene (supposed to be a merciful ending for this chapter as a Fan, hopefully your brother may interpret differently ) but leads to the same outcome.
For chapter 5 secret area, it probably due to the devs have to rush with the launch date approaching, the original design seems to be a 3 phases fight in order to watch the extra cutscene, but you can watch it even if u just finish the fight at phase 1. I watched a stream at launch ppl trying to find out if there’s any difference at p1 and p3 , sadly the original idea seems to be discarded.
1:13:10， visit the graveyard next to the this secret area entrance after completing chapter 4, to find out a bit more of Bajie’s story

Love to see these boss fights. Although some bosses seem easy. Their movements are not agressive or fast enough. For example I tought that this red yaksha boss after transforming was way more faster and aggressive.

There is an animated Sun Wu Kong video, it was, I think in 1980s to 1990s. It is very good story and it will tell you the origin of the story, how he got the 18 ton staff from the ocean kingdom, how he defeated the heaven hosts and how he got sealed by the Budha under the mountain. You should check it out. It was a very nice childhood story for me.
