I'm hoping for a lot more offline content. The Towers of time and the krypt in mk11 kept you playing for hours on end earning new skins, gear, taunts, intros, outros while invasions gives you nothing the majority of the time, it's repetitive and boring as hell, and talismans are completely useless when you only need to put points into attack.

As a casual who loved and played the hell out of MKX, Injustice 2, and MK11, years after each release, and have despised MK1 due to lack of single player modes, I'm hoping for:
- "The Krypt" to return (far fetched but would add more replayability to the game)
- "Towers of Time" / "IJ2 Multiverse" endless gameplay type of mode to unlock gear (loved this in MK11 and Injustice 2) - Kept me locked into MK11 and IN2 which I still play to this day
- Kill off the dumbass mobile-game-style "Invasion Mode" which has made MK1 feel cheap IMO
