Pretty sure the voice acting being a little off is actually on purpose and an Ode to the unsettling delivery of early horror games that similarly had imperfect voice acting but ended up creating an unsettling tone and vibe.

Unfortunately, the main character’s voiceover is the only really, consistently bad one; otherwise they’re alright. Also, the others stand well one their own but do not flow at all with the first person voice.

The only games I have been buying in the last couple years are indie games. It isn't in protest of AAA gaming at all, it's just because that has been where my interest has been. An exciting time in that regard for sure. War of The Worlds is one I've been pretty excited for.
