The character model for Alex Casey, Saga's Partner, is made after Sam Lake, the writer of all the remedy games. He was also the character model for Max Payne, that's why they look alike
Also, the voice actor for Alex Casey is James McCaffrey who also did the voice of Max Payne. So Alex Casey is basically Alan Wake's version of Max Payne
Sadly James McCaffrey passed away late last year, may he rest in peace

A bit late, but, a little Easter egg to one of remedy’s older titles, Quantum Break, comes in the form of the sheriffs full name, “Tim Breaker,” which sounds a lot like time breaker which was the main power of Shawn Ashmore’s character, Jack Joyce, in Quantum Break, the two characters are even both played by Shawn Ashmore.
