According to MK12, every ending in every game, from the beginning to all the way to MK11, was canon across one of the billions of timelines. With all these timelines side by side, I think that means every ending to MK12 is canon as well. The universe ruled by Frost? Canon. The universe D'Vorah made where bugs step on humans? Canon. The universe where Erron Black threw the damn hourglass in the ocean? Canon.
Then again, since Erron didn't do any reboots, his universe has long since aged to the point where the Earth has fallen into the sun.
