Crazy how there was a timeline where everyone had beaten Kronika on their own and is canon, but the timeline we know Liu Kang’s defeat of Kronika was also canon but that comes into play with Shang Tsung as well. Where he beats FGL in AM is Canon as well. Liu kang beats him gets the crown and makes this timeline and Shang beats liu kang and makes his timeline. Crazy twist for sure

Mkx story was great, setting up dark Raiden as a possible antagonist for mk11. Then mk11 had great potential with dark Raiden but even though they wasted him and built him up for nothing, the story was still great and not overwhelming and chaotic, and confusing. This was a hot mess, i rewatched/played mkx and mk11 story manyyyy times, but I will never play/watch this story again. It was great until titan shang tsung came back and confirmed both endings were cannon, as well as seeing dark Raiden return, but after that it’s absolutely shit. Not only dark Raiden is just a fucking fodder and gets easily defeated by mileena, and then all this random characters was the most stupid and confusing shit that was happening. That is a bad move since each of character loses their essence. It’s lazy writing to use this multiverse bullshit just because the possibilities are endless. Fire god Liu kang who was hyped to be an insanely powerful character was being hit by fodder level characters. Dark Raiden made shin ok his bitch, and he just got clapped by fodder characters (at this point it didn’t even matter no more with all those weird stupid childish combinations/versions of him)
Sindel who killed everyone together with Shao khan and bitch slapped cetrion in aftermath got schooled by mileena. Nothing made fucking sense, also I don’t understand what’s the point of choosing a different fighter at the end if Liu kang just end up finishing things himself, no interactions or words, just mindlessly fighting cheap copies of og characters with comedic names. And what’s the point of all this madness and random characters if they all died and the timeline remained the same?

My only gripe with the story mode is that we never got to see lord liu Kang fight dark raiden. It would’ve been perfect to win the fight as lord liu Kang so we would’ve seen for sure that this timeline was different
Though it is hilarious seeing evil sindel and being able to kill her as mileena. It’s like a commentary on the fans and their distaste for the change to sindel’s character
