The original Joker movie was supposed to be a standalone thing, so if I was the director and I had some higher up tell me that it was gonna get a sequel regardless of my vision either with or without my input, I would also do something weird like making it a musical and having the protagonist get killed at the end. Alienating half your fan base and then killing off your main character to guarantee that another sequel is impossible is like the most comic accurate joker thing I’ve seen in a long time.>> <<@Al-Sahem-Al-Ghul says : Man... But the studio wanted to make money and they paid him quite a bit to make another one, so he bought a case of beer and sat down one night and powered his way through a script he had no interest in writing.
