You die from diabetes if your blood sugar crashes. Then you need to EAT, not take insulin. Dying from it if it's too high takes a very long time. Like a month or more, as your blood turns acidic. I find the game incredibly boring. It's basically from the deck, back inside, back to the deck, back inside. Rinse, repeat. The setting is very 'closeted', the monsters are boring and repetitive, not much is going on. Though you mentioned Lavkraft and maybe that's why I dislike the game as well: I dislike every single story I tried to read from Lavkraft. It's empty and boring for me, and I totally dislike the writing style. I feel like he writes words, but there's no meaning behind them, so it's just white noise that annoys me. So I guess that's just my thing, but I truly don't get why so many people call this game a masterpiece. As meh as I find Resident Evil, most of the games in the series have a decent plot and lots of interesting lore. Their world feels real and big. I don't feel like this game does. UPD: Finished the game. Still boring. There was no way off the rig anymore except for hoping that another ship comes to the resque but would you really want that? Whatever the crew awakened that day managed to kill almost everyone on the rig and spread its "tendrils??" On every corner of the rig and several meters into the sky and all that in like...10-15 hours??? Imagine what it could cause if a it would begin infection a city. Still I wish we would get more information about what exactly was attacking the rig and what was its goal because for all we know it needed biomass to get higher and higher into the sky but what if it reaches the height it wanted to reach?
