Not only did they skip an entire game, MK 12, but they also changed the entire story of MK1 to cater to fans who have only been exposed to the Injustice games. Don't believe me? If you go back and play MK Aftermath Liu Kang's ending had him creating a new timeline where Raiden was NOT chosen as his champion for Earthrealm but instead was a more honorable Kung Lao. If you don't want to talk about that lets discuss the MASSIVE plot hole that is still confusing actual MK fans out there, is that really Kronika or Shang Tsung? It wouldn't make sense for it to be Kronika because in both Liu Kang and Shang Tsungs individual timelines she is KO'd permanently so its obviously Shang Tsung pretending to be her. This game is legitamilly the worst of the entire series because its nothing more than glorified fan fiction with stellar visual effects.
